Your first win

Beat Bot-Easy in your first match, in five steps.

For your first match, choose Play a bot, then Bot-Easy. It plays the Level 1 · Basics rules on the Small map: warriors, lancers and archers; barracks, archeries and houses. Raze its castle and you win.

What Bot-Easy does

  • It keeps 16 units at most, and few buildings.
  • Its first group leaves its castle after 90 s. Groups of up to 8 take the provinces near its land.
  • It comes for your castle only after 15 minutes, or sooner if your army is very small.
  • It never calls its army home to defend its castle.

The match in motion

  1. Look at your kingdom. Find your castle, your army and the gold mines. The red castle is on the far side of the map.
  2. Build your economy. F2 shows the build bar: R a house by the gold mine, Q a barracks, W an archery, Q a second barracks. The build capital pays, so they go up 10 times faster.
  3. Take provinces with a belt. Space empties the hand, A sets Conquer, and a right-drag from the castle draws a belt. Your troops board it and stop in the meadow until it turns blue; drag the belt’s end on to the hills. A second house goes by the meadow’s mine.
  4. Stop the red groups. A red group comes for the hills. D sets Engage, and a second belt runs to the front: the new recruits board it and fight what they meet.
  5. Destroy the red castle. More than 30 units: a triple click takes the whole army, a click on the red barracks tears it down, then a click on the red castle. Drag the Engage belt’s end to the castle, and the recruits join in.

The animation runs a whole match in about a minute: its clock, top left, is the match's.

Step by step

  1. Look at your kingdom. You start with 6 Warriors, 4 Lancers and 4 Archers by your castle, 300 gold and 2,000 of build capital. Find the gold mines and the provinces next to yours.
  2. Build your economy. F2, then near the castle: a House (R) by each gold mine you own, a Barracks (Q), an Archery (W) and a second barracks. The capital pays, and they go up 10 times faster. Three training buildings are enough for now: each costs its upkeep, training or not.
  3. Take provinces with a belt. Space, A, and a right-drag from the castle into the next province: a Conquer belt. Your troops board it and take the province (one unit alone in 8 s, more units faster). Drag the belt's end on, province by province, in a chain from your castle: a province cut off from it pays nothing. A house by each new gold mine.
  4. Stop the red groups. D, and a second belt from the castle to the front, in Engage: the new recruits stop to fight what comes. Lancers beat warriors, warriors beat archers, archers beat lancers. Then take back what a red group took.
  5. Destroy the red castle. Past 30 units, and before 15 minutes: a triple click takes the whole army. Click each red building on the way (“Tear it down!”), then the red castle (1,500 hit points, 2 archers on its walls). Send everyone together. Drag the Engage belt's end to the castle, and the recruits join in.

Tip: The War Tent (Esc) does not pause the battle: the bot plays on.
