Growing the economy
More land, more mines, and not a coin wasted on upkeep.
- Houses first. A house costs 100 gold, has no upkeep, and pays for itself in about 1 minute of full work.
- Guard the chain. One lost province in the middle can cut every province behind it. Watch the provinces that link the rest.
- Mind the upkeep. An army at the cap (150) of warriors costs 150 gold/min. An idle building that trains still costs its upkeep: demolish what you no longer need.
- Read the charts (G): income against upkeep tells you when to stop training and start building.
- Hunt the pawns. The rival’s gold walks from the mines to the houses; a raid on the pawns stops it. Click a pawn with units in hand and they go after it; left to themselves, troops strike a pawn only when it comes within reach.
