The Maps page

Every map to play: search, filters and sorts, a map’s card and page, and what you can do with it.

Opening it

  • The main menu’s MAPS, or its own page, maps.html, whose address keeps the search and the map open.
  • Choose a map… in the War Council opens it to pick one: Use this map takes it back to the lobby.
  • The search reads a seed, a seed map’s number, a name, an author or a tag. 20 maps a page.
  • Quick filters: Seeds, Custom, Small, Medium, Ranked and, signed in, My maps and Favourites.
  • Filters sets ranges (Provinces, Gold mines, Water %, Forest %, Castle distance, Match length (min)), the least fairness, the least plays, an author, and older versions too.
  • Sort by Newest, Times played, Seed, Provinces, Gold mines, Water, Forest, Castle distance, Fairness, Match length, either way. Newest first lists the players’ maps before the seeds.
  • Tags: islands, rush, long, rivers, forest, open, maze, symmetric, asymmetric, small, medium.

A map’s card

Its picture and title (“Seed 201”, or a player’s map’s name and version, by its author), badges (size, Seed or Custom, Ranked, Wilds when its author laid lairs, Retired, Older version), and its numbers: provinces, mines, water and forest, the castles’ distance, fairness, times played and the average match.

A map’s page

  • Its picture, zoomable, and its numbers: size and base seed, provinces, gold mines, land and water, forest, the castles’ distance, fairness out of 100, each side’s share.
  • How it plays: times played, the average match, Blue’s and Red’s wins, the record against the bot, replays.
  • Its versions, its latest counted matches, and the best players on it.
