Economy
Where gold comes from, where it goes, and the brakes that keep a lead from snowballing.
The start
Each side starts with 300 gold and a build capital of 2,000. The capital pays for buildings only, never units, and what it pays for goes up 10 times faster (its builders still walk there). The Pirate Cannon is never paid from it.
Income
| Every province you own | 10 |
|---|---|
| Your castle’s province, on top | 60 |
| A gold mine worked by a House or the castle (all 4 pawns) | 100 |
Supply lines
A province pays only while a chain of your provinces links it to your castle’s. Cut the chain and everything behind the cut stops paying; a mine cut off keeps its gold at the door until the link comes back.
Upkeep
Every living unit costs its upkeep every minute, and so does every finished building but houses and the castle. The income never drops below 0.
The army cap
Buildings stop training when your side has 150 living units (pawns do not count).
Demolishing
Tear down your own building that trains (or a tower) to save its upkeep: a 3 s countdown, and 50 % of its cost back. Never the castle or a house.
Tip: G opens the economy charts: empire, income, upkeep and treasury over the match.
